Tree and Shrub Nutrient Programs: Well-nourished trees and shrubs have better resistance to disease, insect attack and drought. Our deep-root fertilizer can help keep your trees and shrubs healthier; promoting the luxuriant foliage that adds beauty and value to your property. Our custom blend fertilizer is injected directly into the root zone area for maximum benefits. Its low salt index and slow release action won't burn delicate feeding roots, so nutrients can be applied more economically.
ArborWatch Program: Is a plant health program designed to provide presonalized attention for care of your landscape. Proactive plant health care solutions and treatments.
A highly trained Arborist visits your property at carefully timed intervals during the growing season to scout and treat your landscape for diseases, insects and other arboricultural problems. When a condition is detected, careful consideration is given to determine weather to treat, further monitor or modify cultural practices.
Our custom ArborWatch Units enable us to utilize species-specific treatments only where the damage level of an insect or disease exceeds the threshold tolerance of it's host.
Living Assets ArborWatch Program incorporates a holistic approach to tree and shrub care. With the use of paraffinic oils, soaps, biological treatments, organic products, acrylic polymers, beneficial insect releases and pheromone traps.
Living Assets has developed and pioneered the most effective, environmentally sound integrated deer tick program available on the market today. Through our research and experience in the field, we have been most successful in our two-step approach. We not only treat deer ticks where they live and breed in your landscape, but we also treat the habitat of the wildlife ( the white-footed mouse), which are the hosts of Lyme's disease. We offer lawn treatments in late May, late June, and again in early September, as well as spring and summer Damminix treatments.
Damminix
This product is very effective in reducing deer tick populations on your property, which can be carriers of Lyme's Disease. Damminix tubes , which contain cotton balls impregnated with the active ingredient (Permethrin) are placed in mouse habitats and in wood lot areas of the landscape. The mice (the favorite host of the deer tick) bring the cotton balls back to their burrows to furnish their nests. The ticks come into contact with the Permethrin and are killed, while the mice are left unharmed. Damminix does not harm the mice or wildlife in your landscape and is totally biodegradable.
We recommend treatments semiannually, in order to coincide with the life cycle of the white-footed mouse.
Tick Treatment
This treatment is applied not only to the lawn areas of your property but also to the ecotone areas, which is where the grass area turns into a woodlot environment. It is essential to treat the ecotone area as ticks prefer weed beds and overgrown fields, and studies have proven that ticks can be found anywhere from the ground level up to four feet high. With our system we treat the ecotone area throughly, while the lawn is treated lightly. These applications will kill the ticks that are within your landscape. We recommend treatments at the end of May, June and again in early September because these are the times that the Deer Tick is most active due to temperatures. Sometimes in October, with an Indian Summer ticks will become very active again.
Our exclusive organic deer repellant will protect your shrubs and ornamentals through the winter months. We use Cheyenne peppers, Garlic and fertilizers. We recommend that you have your plants treated in October, December and February. If winter weather continues through March we would recommend another treatment in late March.

Feeding Deer
Living Assets currently utilizes an organic treatment for evergreens and trees that virtually eliminate plant mortality due to wind burn, sun scald, and winterkill. Our Anti-desiccant is a polymer, which not only reduces water loss, but also minimizes browning of foliage with a special sun screen. This application has an invisible, clear finish that will not detract from the natural beauty of your landscape. Anti-desiccants are also very beneficial to newly planted or transplanted shrubs and trees.
